Check-in
You may check in starting at 4:00 pm on Wednesday at the Health Human Performance and Athletic Complex, Ted Wilson Gymnasium lobby. There will be check-in registration every morning to include a sword check for Iaido participants.
Seminar
The Iaido seminar will be from 9:00 am to 11:45 am, then 1:00 pm – 4:45 pm on Thursday and Friday. The cost is $125.
The Jodo seminar will be from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday and 9:00 am – 11:30 pm on Monday. The cost is $40.
Parking:
Parking is free on campus.
The Welcome Party will be Wednesday, 6:30 – 9:00 pm, at Pioneer Reading Room, Linfield College. Welcome party fee is $20. Please mark if you are going to attend the Welcome Party during the online registration.
Lunches will be available Thursday – Sunday. Cost per day is $11. Please select a lunch for each day during the online registration. You are welcome to add breakfast $7 and evening meals $13.50 provided by campus cafeteria.
You have a choice to stay on campus ($25 per night with a one-time $8 bedding fee) or at the Best Western- McMinnville Inn ($99 per night plus tax). Please indicate on the online registration if you want to stay on campus to include the number of nights or call the Best Western McMinnville Inn if you want to stay at the hotel.
If you choose to stay on campus and not share a room, your total room fee will be $50 per night. We will collect the additional single room rate when you sign in on campus. Please list your guest as "Single" or "Self".
Reservations for the Best Western – McMinnville Inn can be made now! Call 1-503-472-4900 by May 26, 2019 to make reservations via phone. Mention the group name AUSKF.
A Sayonara party will be held on Saturday night at the Fred Meyer Lounge, Linfield College
The cost is $40 per person.
We will have five brackets this year for those registered as AUSKF members as of June 9, 2019: 2-kyu and below, 1-kyu to 1-dan, 2-dan to 3-dan, 4-dan to 5-dan, and 6-dan.
Starting this year, everyone participating in the AUSKF Iaido taikai will be required to wear a zekken/nafuda with the name of their FEDERATION, instead of their dojo.
The cost to enter the taikai is $25.
Both the Iaido and Jodo shinsas will be on June 30, 2019. Iaido shinsa will be up to 6 dan, and Jodo shinsa up to 3 dan.

You will need to pay shinsa fees at time of registration. Those who pass will need to pay menjo fees within two weeks of passing shinsa.
Shinsa Fees: Kyu ranks (17 & under) - $30, Kyu ranks (18 & over) - $40, 1 dan - $50, 2 dan - $60, 3 dan - $70, 4 dan - $80, 5 dan - $100, 6 dan - $120.
Menjo Fees: Kyu ranks (17 & under) - $20, Kyu ranks (18 & over) - $30, 1 dan - $50, 2 dan - $60, 3 dan - $80, 4 dan - $100, 5 dan - $150, 6 dan - $200.
The AUSKF board has approved new Iaido shinsa guidelines:
3-dan and below = 5 Seitei Iaido kata in 6 minutes
4-dan and 5-dan = 1 koryu kata and 4 Seitei Iaido kata in 6 minutes
6-dan = 2 koryu kata and 4 Seitei Iaido kata in 7 minutes.
The written exam requirement will remain the same for 1 kyu and above.
Mazkiya USA will be at the seminar.
The registration deadline and payment is Sunday, June 9th.
You will need your AUSKF ID number to register. If you have registered with Shinken.cc before and don’t remember your AUSKF ID or your temporary ID, please email monica.iwakabe@auskf.org. If you are going to challenge the shinsa, please have the following items completed and ready to add to your online application – written examination answers and completed “Federation President Approval”.
