2026 Midwest Jodo Seminar and Shinsa

Join us a for a weekend dedicated to the Seitei Jodo of the All Japan Kendo Federation.

This seminar will be lead by Peter Boylan, 6th Dan Jodo and 5th Dan Iaido. Our focus will be on the kihon waza and kata of the Seitei Jodo, with particular attention to the skills and details required for examinations. There will also be a Shinsa for Ikkyu and Shodan.

SHINSA APPLICATION

SEMINAR

This seminar will be lead by Peter Boylan, 6th Dan Jodo and 5th Dan Iaido. We will focus on the kihon waza and kata of the Seitei Jodo, with an eye towards what is required on exams. Additional instructors include

JODO SHINSA

The Shinsa will be held at 4:00 PM on December 5th.

For Ikkyu and Shodan testing, candidates must complete the required Shinsa application.
If testing for Shodan, you must upload a copy of your Ikkyu Menjo.

If you are testing from outside the MWKF, you must complete the Out-of-Federation Approval Form and obtain the Regional President's signature.
