Held from December 5-8, 2025 in Detroit, Michigan, this event is a major gathering for practitioners of Jodo, the Japanese art of the short staff. Hosted by the All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF) and Canadian Kendo Federation (CKF) the seminar features instruction from six teachers, including two distinguished 8th Dan Hanshi from Japan.
The seminar will cover Kihon (basic techniques), the 12 Seitei Jodo kata, and testing requirements for rank advancement. It's a rare opportunity to train under top-level instructors and deepen your understanding of standard Jodo practices.
Shinsa will be offered up to 4th Dan.
The event will be held on the 3rd Floor Courts.

Shinsa will take place on December 6, 2025 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Shinsa Registration will close on November 5, 2025. At this time registration, test questions, and Federation approval paperwork must be submitted.
***Eligibility Requirements***
Current AUSKF, CKF or FIK Membership.
Foreign attendees may test with permission of their Federation president and copy of menjo. Upload menjo copy to the registration website.

2. All examination essays.
AUSKF shinsa candidates must be in good standing (fees paid, etc) to be accepted for examination. This status will be verified by AUSKF staff.
